Welcome to my blog

How Buddhism Changed My Life

I often see the word Buddhism as a religion, however the form I found was more of a philosophy, a way to view the world and life.

A year out of college, I found a few things that changed the trajectory of my life: QNRT, and Buddhism.

I found a free event on Facebook for an intro to Buddhism meeting. I went, and I actually someone already at the meeting. This form of Buddhism used chanting as a way to overcome any hardship in our lives. Chanting in this sense, is a form of prayer. The way to happiness is actually going through the hardships and suffering that we all experience.

Raising your life condition is a big theme of this practice as well. Karma just means "action." So, if you are experiencing something in your life, ANYTHING, in your life, you do not like, YOU have the power to change, shift, or transform it.

Literally anything can occur with this prayer, this mantra. People have used it for: housing, good luck, healing, more money, relationships to improve, more peace to the planet, and so much more.

The organization is SGI - Soka Gakkai International and it's a place of hope and healing for many. You can find the "Miracle Mantra" on YouTube - Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and start to chant, and see what benefits arrive in your life!

Buddhism changed my life because it has helped me understand I can be EMPOWERED in my life. I don't have to be a victim to my circumstances (that's actually what QNRT did for me, too!!!). I have learned that we are here to experience the ups and downs - the moments of heaven, enlightenment, joy, as well as the moments of hell, darkness, pain, grief, angst.

You are here to grow and expand, as long as you're a soul here.
